Tommy Stinson is a legendary musician who currently resides in upstate New York. Originally from Minneapolis, Stinson is a founding member of the Replacements and went on to form bands like Bash & Pop and Perfect, as well as joining Soul Asylum and Guns N’ Roses. Though Bash & Pop broke up in 1994 after releasing the Friday Night is Killing Me LP a year earlier, Stinson has re-activated the moniker for an excellent and spirited new record called Anything Could Happen and is touring around the world over the next few months. In a huge honour for me, listen to Tommy Stinson and I have a conversation about politics, Bash & Pop, Paul Westerberg and the Replacements, Axl Rose and Guns N’ Roses, and much more.
