Nomeansno (2011)

On a recent Kreative Kontrol episode, Mark Molnar mentioned his fondness for a radio interview I once conducted with Tom Holliston, John Wright, and Rob Wright from Canada’s greatest band, Nomeansno. And so, here’s that interview, which occurred over breakfast at the By the Way Café in Toronto, Ontario on April 5, 2011. It’s one of my most cherished work life experiences, so thank you again to Nomeansno, whose entire catalogue is now available on streaming services, and Alternative Tentacles is reissuing their catalogue in physical forms too.

Ep. #1006: The Hives

Howlin’ Pelle Almqvist from the Hives is here to discuss The Hives Forever Forever The Hives, living in Sweden, whether or not the band’s substantive, outspoken lyrics get enough attention, the eerily cyclical nature of western civilization, reflecting upon being in a band for 30 odd years, another artistic outlet he has but has never really talked about before, recording fidelity and punk rock, the Bon Scott era of AC/DC, working with Beastie Boys’ Mike D who produced this album, future plans for the Hives, and much more.
