One of my favourite bands ever is the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and they’ve got a few Canadian tour dates coming up soon (including Sled Island this week and Ontario shows next month). I called up Jon Spencer for a chat about what things have been like since the band started playing together again and the ebb and flow of independent culture. After a nice talk about our kids and Levon Helm, we got into it.
